Edwell Maposa is a mining and environmental law expert with over 20 years of practice experience, executive experience in management, high-profile consultancy, and leadership roles within and beyond Southern Africa. He is a passionate proponent of clean energy and climate matters towards sustainable economic growth, social-environmental justice, as well as upholding human rights in the extractive industry supply chain. He holds an Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws in Extractive Industries (Mining and Environmental Law) from the University of Zimbabwe and University of Pretoria, respectively.
A sitting board member to a number of regional and multinational corporations, Mr Maposa is a seasoned legal expert within the extractive industry space, Mr Maposa is also a fulltime post-graduate Extractive Industry Law lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, and he is currently researching on Environmental Law, Sustainability, and ESGs, to enhance environmental protection.
