Edwell Maposa is a mining and environmental law expert with over 20 years of practice experience, executive experience in management, high-profile consultancy, and leadership roles within and beyond Southern Africa. He is a passionate proponent of clean energy and climate matters towards sustainable economic growth, social-environmental justice, as well as upholding human rights in the extractive industry supply chain. He holds an Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws in Extractive Industries (Mining and Environmental Law) from the University of Zimbabwe and University of Pretoria, respectively.
A sitting board member to a number of regional and multinational corporations, Mr Maposa is a seasoned legal expert within the extractive industry space, Mr Maposa is also a fulltime post-graduate Extractive Industry Law lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, and he is currently researching on Environmental Law, Sustainability, and ESGs, to enhance environmental protection. Edwell works at our Johannesburg office.
